Mana Mā'Ohi
The Mana Mā'Ohi ensemble's visit to Europe, and more specifically to the RFI, is exceptional: never before has Switzerland welcomed indigenous artists living on Easter Island and who still speaking their native Polynesian language. The artists, aged between 20 and 30, will be presenting the dances, music, myths and legends of their Pacific island. Audiences will be able to immerse themselves in the history of the imposing Moai statues, the Tangata Manu (the bird-man) and the origins of the Rapa Nui Polynesian ethnic group. The ensemble wears traditional garments made from the island's natural materials, such as plant fibres and native bird feathers.
